Trasmediterranea is the largest ship company for both cargo and passenger services linking the Spanish peninsula to the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. Trasmediterranea was founded in 1917 in Barcelona with a fleet of 45 ships. On routes between Cadiz and the Canary Islands, Algeciras and Ceuta and Almeria, Malaga and Melilla, and also on the international routes to Tangiers and Nador, duty free shops are available on board.
